Job description:
-Meet or exceed annual and quarterly bookings targets. Cultivate a sales funnel of industrial laser opportunities, and actively manage these opportunities from lead identification through final negotiations and close.
-Develop new and existing relationships across multiple levels (executives, supply chain, technical management, engineers, service department, quality department, etc) with targeted customers.
-Communicate clearly and effectively with customers and internal teams, keeping both fully apprised of the status of respective customer programs. Communication includes timely summary notes from phone calls and customer visits, documentation of major findings and decisions, updates to sales management tools (sales funnel, blue sheets, etc), internal executive updates, and so forth.
-Drive strategic and tactical sales processes by establishing goals for each account, identifying key decision makers, documenting booking opportunities, and developing / managing strategies to close on those bookings. Work closely with the product team to qualify opportunities, develop sales proposals, respond to business and technical questions, and so forth.
-Other important aspects of the Sales Account Manager role:
oSupport of field service program to ensure customers’ needs are captured and communicated and that field service follow through meets those needs.
oSupport sales and marketing activities by attending tradeshows, networking events, demos, promotional events and similar events. Understand the business dynamics and needs beyond our customers to the end users.
oComplete and present market analysis and laser application analysis (application overview, potential revenue of the application, laser needs of the application, alternative solutions, competition, etc.)
oAnalyze and report on the relative profitability of products and customers and focus on opportunities which meet corporate profitability targets.
